Dylan (Spotty) 14.1 Appaloosa 2004 gelding is a nicely put together pony and is well schooled. He was bought as a gap filler for my then 13yr old daughter to take to PC camp, where he was impeccable! He has been an active member of Pony Club and outside events. He competes SJ & Dressage, his XC needs some work, but I’m very confident he’d team chase, hunt & do sponsored rides without issue at all!

He hacks out brilliantly and has recently been ridden by strangers, where he has not put a foot wrong and is used by my mum. He can be galloped on the buckle, he jumps all the logs, waits whilst gates are opened etc...  He is not keen on large vehicles, however stood in a gap or driveway, he is ok.

We have been to Coombelands, Pyecombe, Felbridge, Wellington & Hickstead to name a few. He rarely comes home without a Rosette. He really is a smart little horse! He would suit a competent AND confident rider, teen or older. Either a competitive home or purely hacking. I would say he’s not a pony for a child under 13. My daughter is concentrating on her competition pony and as it’s her last year on ponies, I want to focus everything on him.

Spotty has some ground issues, he can be a hard to catch and sometimes he is a pain to load.

He is good with the farrier & dentist. No sedation to clip (we did for his head/ears though, I don’t twitch). He’s up to date with vaccs & worming.

(Albion jump saddle which fits him perfectly, Equipe bridle & some rugs - extra)
