Ginger is a fantastic little horse, now ready to go and have adventures with a new human. I bought him last year, and backed him last summer as a 4yr old. He has been allowed to mature and brought along slowly since. I have not 'produced' him for any particular discipline and I really have taken my time and done a lot of varied activities.
Ginger hacks alone or in company, good with all traffic met. Works nicely in the school, lovely balanced paces. He lunges, long reins and does ride or lead.
Good to load, box, shoe, handle, catch, bath, plait etc. Vaccs, back and teeth all up to date. Turns out with mares and geldings and sheep, good with dogs and used to children and babies - regularly handled by my 8yr old son.
We have attended a couple of local dressage competitions, a pole clinic, sj clinic, endurance/fun rides, xc schooling (mostly to be in an open space and play in the water!), showing clinics, and a local show in hand last summer. We have done the smallest amount of jumping due to his age but he can do it and I will start doing a bit more of that now. He is proving with his jumping to be a very genuine boy and just tries his heart out at everything I ask him to do. He travels superbly and we are often out and about experiencing new things and meeting up with friends to ride out. I am on my own 99% of the time and I take both Ginger and my other horse out to events by myself, he is happy to come off the trailer first or last and will stand on the trailer or tied to it nicely.
Ginger does not need riding everyday and he is more than ok to have a week or more off and just get on and go. He really is a lovely young horse with good looks to spare and an attitude to match, takes everything in his stride, never strong or silly. Snaffled mouthed at all times. Would suit competent older child/teen or lightweight adult.
Ginger is a part bred Arab (21.17%) and so is eligible for part bred classes if interested in showing, he could also do hack classes or possibly ISRT.
He comes with full wardrobe, bridle and bit. Saddle may be available by separate negotiation. Open to vet and trainers. Based near Towcester.
