Herbie is looking for his new home as he has sadly been outgrown. He is 13.2hh 12 year old chestnut Welsh gelding. We have had the pleasure of owning him for 2.5/3 years and in that time he has given my daughter so much confidence and fun. He absolutely loves to jump and is quick and careful. They have done many local competitions coming home with rosettes. Their highlight was qualifying for and competing in the 3 day Show Jumping Championships of Great Britain at The David Broome Centre placing in many classes! Usually competes around 70-80cm but has jumped up to 1m at home in training. He can also do a great dressage test and has been in the rosettes with scores of up to 72% at local competitions. He has done cross country training proving to always sensible and brave to the jumps. He is great to hack alone or in company and does not get fizzy in open spaces. He does not need riding every day, can be left a week or more and good to just get on and go. He’s more of a second pony type, is forward going, but sensible and safe, ridden in a snaffle for all disciplines. Great to load on trailers and lorries and travels well alone or with company. Currently living out but is also happy stabled. Can be turned out alone or in company. He does windsuck straight after food or treats but not all the time and this hasn’t ever adversely affected him. He has some nerve sensitivity on his withers so it is best not to rug him as can make him sore but otherwise doesn’t affect him or affect riding. I will discuss all this in full to anyone who is seriously interested in him and I am happy for my vets to discuss his full medical history with you or your vet. Plenty of videos on request. We have mainly concentrated on show-jumping and she will jump 70 - 1m all day, every day, and very capable at 1.10m. We have also taken part in lots of Junior Academy events. Silva is forward going but not spooky - happily canters over the wooden bridge in the Derby classes at Wales and West (David Broome Event Centre) She is a great all-rounder, lovely to hack. Unfortunately the time has come for our beautiful 13hh pony Mattie to find a new home. Mattie is 19 years young and has competed successfully at all disciplines including pony racing ( although hasn’t raced in last 2 years). Mattie is the sweetest pony to handle and has manners to burn - my 11 year old son can load him, unload him, catch him and do absolutely everything with him. Mattie is NOT a novice ride as he is very forward going and wants to do his job- he would suit a brave child who loves to jump and doesn’t like to kick!! He is snaffle mouthed in all disciplines and will stop when asked. We have done all activities with him and he has taken my son from competing at 40cm to 70cm sj and ODE. He is brave XC and he is 110% bombproof in traffic. Here’s the negatives. He wouldn’t hack alone as sometimes rocks and black bins require a lead! He will just freeze to the spot as opposed to spinning or bolting if he is unsure. He needs to be sedated to clip - although I have never had reason to clip him. He would not hunt - that would fry his brain!! He won’t live out - he comes in at night 365 days of the year because he is a precious boy. I have been as honest as I can with this advert and I am determined he will only go to a experienced home who will understand him and give him the love that he will then unconditionally give back as this is heartbreaking for us as a family to have to sell him. Mighty Mo - 2023/24 Team Ireland Pony Only available to the very best of homes, a pony of a lifetime! He has given so many happy memories over the last 3 years. Mo is an ideal competition pony, stocky, 12.2hh coloured 10yr old gelding with an extensive CV. Absolutely knows his job inside out. Appearances can be deceptive! He’s an infamous character known by everyone in Pony Club. Has competed for pretty much every Pony Club team discipline possible to include, Games, Polocrosse, PC Eventing, arena eventing and SJ. He’s competed successfully in Northern Ireland Schools SJ and was selected for Ireland and played on the successful Irish Team in the UK four Nations Polocrosse competition in summer 2023 in England. He’s been selected yet again for team IRE 2024 if not sold prior. He was in the regional Area 17 winning PC event team and qualified for Auchlishie, Scotland where they picked up a very respectable team 8th in UK PC Eventing. He finished 5th individual in Area 17 PC Home Championships 2023 Qualified for and finished 5th in the Northern Ireland rising stars SJ final 2023. His love of XC is clear and he would also make a fabulous hunting pony as ‘nothing’ phases him. He’s won and been placed in far too many competitions & disciplines to list and has hundreds of rosettes, he is now ready to look after and teach another keen little jockey the ropes. He’s stayed away multiple times & been to PC camps (juniors and seniors) training shows and travelled in lorries and boxes. Gorgeous, smart well put together gelding with superb breeding by Yorgunnabelucky (USA), 3 great paces with super lateral/medium work. Has competed in show jumping, dressage, combined training and done clinics, lessons and been cross country schooled. Never raced or did any race training, purchased from breeder as a 2yr old. Many placings and consistently getting scores in the high 60s and 70s at dressage competing up to novice, schooling elementary/medium at home. Has potential to do pure dressage and go up the levels in the right home, willing attitude, very clever little horse, rides off your leg and finds lateral work easy.
