For more than 25 years, Hartpury Equine Centre has been at the heart of UK equestrianism. We are one of the largest equine education centres in the world and a centre of quality teaching and research. Our exceptional facilities include our world-leading Equine Therapy Centre, Rider Performance Centre and international equestrian venue.

On any given day, our 360-hectare site is home to an unprecedented wealth of equine talent and expertise, whether it’s our staff, our industry partners, our students and the riders and horses that train here. We host three international equestrian events each year and, as a hive of equestrian

activity, we have built a wide network of industry professionals, nationally and internationally who, like us are dedicated to making a major contribution to horse sport.

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Yard Manager to join our dedicated and highly motivated team. You will assist with the day to day running of the equine centre. This includes overseeing the supervision of student groups during practical learning experiences and the welfare and performance of all horses based within the equine entre. You will also deliver equitation sessions throughout the week to both students and staff and provide support for the commercial use of the centre and the running of our international events

As well as extensive experience in the equine industry, you will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, a flexible approach and be competent with using social media and Microsoft Office applications including Excel. Some experience of line management is preferable.

We offer excellent benefits including student union discounts, pension, 25 days annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays, onsite fitness facilities, free onsite parking and lots more.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.  All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
