The Open College of Equine Studies has an exciting opportunity for an Equine Course Assistant to support the day to day activities and provide effective administrative support within our busy (small and friendly) equine course team.
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic person, with proven IT skills, to join us at our brand new premises near Bury St Edmunds.
Duties and responsibilities
You will provide excellent customer service to students and academic staff and will work with other members of the administrative team to deliver efficient and effective administration including enrolment and assignment processing.
Ideally candidates should hold an Equine Science or Veterinary Nursing degree but this is not essential.
The successful candidate should hold ‘A’ Levels or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of GCSE grade C in English, Maths and Science. In addition, you should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise workload and show initiative
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Proven ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
