The National Stud is looking to recruit a Chief Operating Officer based at The National Stud, Newmarket.
This is a new role, reporting to the Stud Director, and forming part of the Senior Management Team at the National Stud. It is an excellent
opportunity to contribute towards the overall strategic and operational planning of the business and offers the prospect of working in a unique
and exciting environment.
We are looking for a professional with business acumen and financial/commercial awareness to lead and manage the non-stud functions of the
organisation. You will be analysing the internal operations of the business, identifying areas for policy enhancement, monitoring performance,
identifying problems and proposing new ideas and ways of working.
The skills required will include confident management abilities, providing strong leadership and direction, a broad awareness of marketing,
financial budgeting and knowledge of education services, the horseracing industry and Thoroughbred breeding. The ability to establish
and maintain collaborative working relationships with the education, horseracing and breeding sector and key internal and external senior
stakeholders is crucial.
As part of the role you may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends. Some travel will also be expected, so it essential that you
hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle.
