Lecturer in Equine (Stud)

£33,199 per annum

Full-time, 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

Permanent

 

This is an exciting and varied role, supporting our Academic and Equine Resource team, primarily developing specialist Stud/Breeding modules, with significant scope for developing business opportunities on site at WUC’s new Stud premises.

 

We are seeking to appoint a specialist to teach equine practical skills and specialist stud/breeding modules, contributing to the growth and development of new provision aligned with our existing work in stud operations. You will also work with course teams to identify enhancements in the ways we work with our wider business and industry networks in terms of CPD and consultancy.

 

As part of this role, you will initiate and conduct business development activity for Writtle University College’s Lordships Stud; collaborating with colleagues and external stakeholders to unlock WUC’s wider networks, identify and delivering on income generating activities. 

 

To be successful in your application you will be highly effective in managing your time, have a proven track record of working within the stud industry, with commercial business acumen and networks, evidenced nationally and ideally internationally. You will be educated to a Degree Level, or equivalent, and have up-to-date industrial experience, along with lecturing experience and the ability to inspire students through education. It would be advantageous to be in possession of a teaching qualification.
