I’ve had him since June ‘23 and done loads of hacking, raised poles, light schooling to strengthen and fatten him up. I tore my knee cartilage last year so didn’t do much spring/summer ‘24. We’ve done a few unaffiliated shows over Xmas and now he’s ready to go out and have more fun. Hacks in front or behind, he can have a cheeky spook in him but never malicious - no bucking or rearing. Very good in traffic. Successfully competed Arena eventing and Hunter trials up to 95cm this Winter. Now showing promise over the SJ as he gets stronger on the flat. Won his first time out Dressage and behaves impeccably in the warm up. Stands nicely on the lorry. Lovely to handle, a real pet. Good to load, hot shoe, lunge, and clip. Stabled at night but would prefer to live out. Can be left in the field on his own. Will weave if you leave him in without riding him. Passed my 5 stage vetting in June ‘23 and had normal x-rays of his spine. This horse is showing some real class. Beautiful natural paces, very balanced canter, and a careful jump. Future star with endless potential! Valentine is a 4 year old purebred Irish Draught gelding, standing currently at 16.3hh with more to grow. He is a beautiful horse, well put together with great bone. He has a very sweet nature, he is easy to ride, schooled here by 5ft girl. Valentine has three stunning paces and a beautiful jump with great technique and endless scope, he has jumped here up to 1.10m with plenty potential to jump higher. He has a fantastic uphill canter, he covers lots of ground, he has enormous potential to jump and he would make a fantastic hunt horse. He has three very good paces, he is a good mover. He has a lovely trot and is comfortable to ride. He is quiet to ride, doesn’t get strong or silly, he is a level headed horse that likes to please, he enjoys to be ridden. He is super honest and brave at cross country, jumps over coffins, banks, ditches and into water, he is straight forward and his ears are always forward looking for the next jump. He is easy to ride, shoe, box, catch and in traffic, hacks out alone or in company. He is well schooled on the flat, rides in a nice outline, snaffle mouthed.
