14.2hh chestnut Welsh D x mare, 15 years old. Lovely paces, moves more like a horse. She loves to jump and is very forward to a fence. Spent a lot of time schooling recently. Good to shoe, clip, bath etc. we haven’t travelled her but was told she needs coaxing and loads better with a friend. She came in a trailer and has travelled in a box as well. Snaffle mouthed. Typical moody mare if another horse dares to walk by her stable! Never bites or kicks or anything, just scowling. Bought for my daughter who has been schooling/hacking her but now she’s started to jump her, she’s proved too much for my daughter. She is ideally better suited to an experienced teen/small adult. Skye (Diamond Bar) is a very special, beautiful homebred mare, so full history is known. She has three quality naturally uphill paces, always being so relaxed she scores highly for her walk, and finds the collection incredibly easy, her canter is a real showpiece (the kind of canter that you could sit on for hours). She is working at elementary level at home, after having a holiday earlier this year, and is finding it all very easy. She is an incredibly straightforward ride on the flat, the kind of horse that will go well for everyone. She is keen to work, but not hot, and will always look after her rider. As a 4 year old, she qualified for BD Regionals in just a couple of outings, with scores up to 72%, along with scoring well in the 4 year old Young Horse classes. She is such a beautiful, eye-catching mare, you will get compliments wherever you go! What really makes her stand out is her incredible temperament. Ever since a foal she has been the easiest horse to handle, always everyone's favourite on the yard. Brilliant to shoe, clip, load, travel etc, you can take her out by yourself with no problems at all. She was the easiest horse I have ever backed. She adores cuddles, attention and really deserves to be someone's best friend. She can be ridden every day, or she could have months off and you would be able to pick up where you left off. She is the kind of horse that could climb the levels in dressage, but could also go on a fun ride and have just as much fun, I have also popped her over a small jump. She loves the field, but also doesn't mind if she has to stay in due to weather. She can be ridden in wind, rain, snow, frost, you name it, she won't be any different. Max is a brilliant child’s pony, my children can catch, lead, wash, pick out feet, feed him, climb on, jump on and off of, even load into a trailer. He’s also great with farrier, travelling, and teeth. He loves hacking and pony club, done 2 years of pony club camp, also been showing and done concours classes. Could do more as he’s beautiful and always placed, but my daughter prefers pony club. For sale as my daughter wants to learn to ride off the lead rein and he is not a first year first ridden, lead rein is all he’s known and I don’t have the free time to teach him, that being said when my niece rides him who is confidently off the lead rein he goes beautifully for her. Very low maintenance lives out with us but previously stabled.
